Wood and Luxury stands for high quality furniture and home accessories made with timeless design. Stefan Senn has been in business in Basel since 1991 under the name WohnGeist. In 2016, he entered the international market, founding Wood and Luxury - bringing fine Swiss handcrafted creations to the world. Wood and Luxury specializes in creating wooden objects from beautiful Swiss fruit wood trees.
Since 1991 the WohnGeist carpentry manufactures products that combine the aesthetics of wood with the functionality of good design. Selected Swiss solid wood, natural surface finishing and personalized solutions are the core values of WohnGeist. All our products are individually crafted by experienced wood workers locally in Basel and are shipped from Switzerland to the international market.

STEFAN SENN
FOUNDER & DESIGNER
Stefan Senn’s family has been in the woodcraft business for four generations. As a young man, he ran for the Swiss National track and field team. He has a degree in design from the San Francisco Academy of Art. He lives in Basel with his wife and two young daughters and is looking forward to bringing more children’s toys into the Wood & Luxury catalog.
SUSTAINABILITY
Since its inception Wood & Luxury has been committed to sustainable business practices. This means cautious use of natural resources, from purchasing to recycling. We offer a social and family oriented workplace which exceeds the swiss regulations GAV (Gesamtarbeitsvertrag)
for the woodworking and joinery industry. More than 95% of our production uses natural materials such as solid wood, stainless steel, glass, stone and linoleum. Most furniture surfaces are oiled and polished using biological products.
